Skaphos is a French Abyssal Death Metal band formed in 2018 and signed to Transcending Obscurity Records.
The band has released three albums : Bathyscaphe (2020), Thooï (2022) and Cult of Uzura (2025), merging the eerie dissonances of Black Metal with the sheer heaviness of Death Metal.

Renowned for their harrowing, ritualistic live shows, Skaphos has performed in over 20 countries, touring across Europe and Asia with legendary acts such as I Am Morbid, Vader, Marduk, Suffocation, Belphegor, Batushka and Vomitory.

Their abyssal universe extends beyond the stage, with evocative music videos and the short film La Litanie des Flots (2022). They are currently working on a full-length film, Aurores Noires, scheduled for 2026.

Cette identité se prolonge dans leurs créations visuelles, qu’il s’agisse de clips marquants ou du court-métrage La Litanie des Flots (2022). Le groupe prépare actuellement un long-métrage, Aurores Noires, dont la sortie est prévue en 2026.
